Don't come to Thandaza expecting tightly followed traditions, strict time schedules or predictable routines. Because God is the reason we get together, we never want our own plans to get in the way of what He is doing among us.

If that means adding some unplanned songs to our worship, inviting people who want prayer to the front during the middle of a service or scrapping one sermon for another at the last minute, so be it. Usually, Sunday mornings consists of some singing, some news and announcements, a sermon that delves into the Word of God and some fellowship around tea and cake.

Our worship is a reflection of our love for God, our passion for His Kingdom and His people, and an expression of our gratitude for His grace and mercy. At times our worship may be loud and exuberant, and others times it may be soft and intimate, but it is always focused on and directed towards Jesus Christ

Where and when do you meet?

We meet at Grantham Park Primary School in Empangeni on Sundays at 9:00am for our worship service.

The first Sunday of each month, our morning meeting is followed by lunch in the form of a picnic or a braai together at our Church Property in Felixton which we've called our Family Indaba. People are encouraged to bring a picnic basket along only if they are able to, and to join us for some lunch where ball games are also organized for children and adults.

What should I wear?

We invite you to come dressed in whatever clothes you feel most comfortable in. Whether it’s baggies and sandals, jeans, or your favourite suit, you and your family will be warmly received.

What is available for my children?

All children are encouraged to enjoy worship with their families in the main hall, and thereafter are voluntarily dismissed to various age-group classes where they are taught by trained teachers.

Do you have a Nursery or Mothers room?

We have an allocated Mothers Room at the back of the hall. This room is strictly for mothers only who are nursing their children. You’ll be able to listen to the sermon while sitting here and you’ll also find some toiletries like nappies, wet-wipes, creams etc which you are free to use.
